The Ministry of Earth Sciences formed in 2006 from a merger of the India
Meteorological Department , the National Center for Medium Range Weather
Forecasting , the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology , Pune, and Earth
Risk Evaluation Center , and the Ministry of Ocean Development. It is one of
the youngest ministries of the Government of India.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1.
Application are
invited for the Posts of Project Scientist I/II in Ministry of Earth
Sciences.
2.
Master’s Degree
or equivalent in Oceanography / Marine Science / Earth Sciences/
Physics/ Mathematics / Geology / Environmental Science/ Remote Sensing/
Computer Science/ MCA/ related subjects or B.E/ B. Tech in Civil Engineering
/Geo-informatics or related subject from a recognized university with at
least first class (60%) at essential level. AND Two years research experience
in the field of Coastal Oceanography/ Coastal process Modelling /
oceanographic measurement / Shoreline studies / Hydrodynamic data analysis /
Marine data base and familiarity with Coastal process Models/ Image
processing GIS Software/ web applications in the relevant field.

ICMAM-PD from 10.00 A.M. onwards. Registration will start from 09.00 A.M. to
10.00 A.M. No candidate will be allowed to attend the interview after

Floor, NIOT Campus, Velachery-Tambaram Main Road, Pallikaranai, Chennai – 600
