It  was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.. JOB DESCRIPTION      1.      Application are invited for the Posts of Research Associate in : National Institute of Nutrition.       2.      Ph.D. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology from a recognized University. Those who have already submitted the Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply and can attend the Interview .          3.      Candidates with work experience to conduct animal experimentation and their management will be considered for the above post and work with exposure in Cell Biology and Tissue Culture techniques (Stem cells) and with good academic record evidenced from published papers in peer reviewed journals will be preferred.
